Real Madrid are hoping to sign Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford to replace Gareth Bale, according to a report in Spain.

Spanish media outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is a long-term admirer of the England international since his breakthrough at Old Trafford.

The same article states Perez wants the Manchester United forward to be a member of Real Madrid’s new-look “unstoppable” attack as los Blancos look to make amends for a disappointing domestic campaign.

Indeed, Don Balon suggest that Perez wants Rashford to team up with Cristiano Ronaldo, Marco Asensio and Isco to help Real Madrid dominate the Champions League and La Liga in the coming seasons.

According to the same story, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is prepared to sell Rashford at the end of the season given the England star is unwilling to extend his current deal which is set to expire in 2020.

The England starlet has been limited to 14 starts and 16 substitute appearances in the Premier League this season and Rashford has increased competition for a starting spot following Alexis Sanchez’s move to Old Trafford from Arsenal in the January transfer window.
