Real Madrid will come up against James Rodriguez in this season’s Champions League semi-final, with the man who i son loan at Bayern Munich from the Spanish capital determined to knock out his parent club.

Zinedine Zidane didn’t place as much trust in the playmaker as the player would have liked during his time at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and that’s why he had to pack his bags and leave for Germany.

James has had a great first season in the Bundesliga and he has convinced the Bayern directors in a way he never could with Zidane, which is why the German club are planning to turn his two-year loan deal into a permanent one, for 42 million euros.

The player would like nothing more than to celebrate his permanent move with a Champions League trophy, so he’ll be extra motivated to show Zidane that it was a mistake to ignore his talents and to leave him out of the matchday squad for last year’s final in Cardiff.

He has explained that is ready for this match and that the prospect of trying to knock out his parent club isn’t strange to him.

Now, he’ll aim to make it a reality.
