The second game in the Champions League was not better than the first for Jurgen Klopp, after his team was defeated 3-1 by Real Madrid.
It was a very difficult night for the reds after losing team star Mohamed Salah after just half an hour of play, but Klopp did not feel regret for himself and said that it does not make any sense to feel that history books simply will show that Real Madrid won and nothing more.
“It’s too bad for us, for Egypt and for all, but this is part of the sport, and things like that happen,” Klopp said about Salah’s injury after he first congratulated Real Madrid.
“We were playing good football up to those moments. We kept the ball, created cases and pressured their pitch in the first 30 minutes but after 10 years no one will talk about how we lost, “he added.
