Real Madrid’s players reportedly blame Gareth Bale for Zinedine Zidane’s decision to leave the club.

When Zidane decided to leave the club, many players were furious, and think that Bale’s words following the Champions League final win contributed to the decision.

Bale made it clear live on TV that he needs to be playing football on a regular basis, yet many would argue his injury record is too inconsistent for the player to actually be relied upon.

Diario Gol think that Bale now has even fewer friends in the Real Madrid dressing room than before, and it seems that he could still leave this summer, despite being backed by president Florentino Perez.

Zidane shocked the football world when he made it clear he was leaving Real Madrid, with few people expecting the decision, and he explained it by saying he thinks the club need a new voice and new methodology, something the players are thought to disagree with.

He also noted that he had no plans to go and manage anywhere else yet, and it seems for the time being he wants to take a season out.

Zidane had said: “I think it’s the moment, both for me, the team and the club (to step down).

“It’s a strange moment to do so, I know, but an important one too. I had to do this for everyone.

“This side should carry on winning and needs a change for this.

“After three years it needs another voice, another method of work, for this I took this decision.”
