Barcelona president will not support Spain, he wants Messi to win the WC

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu had no problem with revealing who he is backing at this summer’s World Cup, but it isn’t Spain.

Instead, he will be behind one of his star men from the Camp Nou.

“I hope that Lionel Messi can win it,” he told Antena 3.

“I hope that Leo Messi, the best player in history, can win it and make his dream come true.”

Argentina’s squad are currently using Barcelona’s training ground as they prepare for the World Cup, where they will be in Group D alongside Iceland, Croatia and Nigeria.
