Diario Sport report on Friday that Thiago Alcantara is considered as an ideal summer transfer by a group of the highly respected players of Barcelona. According to the Catalan edition, they have communicated their desire to see the La Masia graduate returning to Camp Nou to the club’s president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
The dressing room is ready to welcome Thiago back from Bayern where, as they believe, he has matured, developed and improved his rich skillset. With Andres Iniesta’s departure, there is a vacant place in the midfield that could be occupied by the Spaniard while Philippe Coutinho would play on a more attacking position.
It has been reported on Thursday by German Bild that Bayern are considering letting Thiago go this summer. The player himself is allegedly willing to move too. Last week, he has called his situation a ‘complicated’ one in an interview with Mundo Deportivo: “Let’s see what happens. I renewed last year with Bayern, but it’s very complicated. Football is very difficult…”.
Diario Sport continue the story by noting that Thiago has great relationships with many current Cules like Alba, Busquets, Pique, Iniesta, Sergi Roberto with whom he has played during his academy years and the first spell at Barcelona from 2005 to 2013. They are often spending time together when they get short holidays:
The price that Barcelona may pay for Thiago is expected to be in a range from €50m to Bayern’s asking price of €80m. The midfielder’s current market value is at €60m according to the Transfermarkt.
