Real Madrid players have reportedly told president Florentino Perez they want to see Jurgen Klopp come in and replace their outgoing manager Zinedine Zidane.
The players think the way Klopp instructs his team to play football and his general mentality mean he’s perfect for the club, and he’s now shot to the top of the list to replace three time Champions League winner Zidane.
That’s according to Don Balon, who have claimed Sergio Ramos is leading the calls to get Klopp from the Premier League, and that if the club did want Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino, they certainly don’t anymore.
It would be incredibly hard to get Klopp, both in terms of his contract and convincing the manager himself to leave Liverpool, where he had planned to stay for seven years and build something of a dynasty at the club.
The team Klopp has is totally of his own making, and the manager has already started to add players to the squad this summer, and it would be a shock to see him leave, although when a club as big as Real Madrid are keen on a manager, it remains to be seen if they will snub them.
Should Klopp go, the chances of Real Madrid landing Mo Salah would certainly increase in terms of the bond between the manager and player, though quite if Liverpool would let their best player and manager go to a rival side, albeit a European one remains to be seen.
