Fabrizio Romano, tier 1 from the Gianluca Di Marzio crew, has once again confirmed for Man United fans on Twitter that Fred will soon officially become a Manchester United player. The 25-year-old Brazilian is now in England and the likelihood he will be announced early next week after Brazil friendly:

According to Manchester Evening News and Sky Sports, Fred may become a Red Devil as soon as by next Tuesday if completes his medical, reportedly pencilled in for Monday. He will sign a four-year contract with an option of another 12 months, the latter being a normal procedure from Man United.

Jose Mourinho would be happy to have at least one new player before pre-season, although it’s unlikely Fred will join his new club by the start of the pre-season tour, his arrival depending on the World Cup outcome for Brazil. Porto’s 19-year-old right-back Diego Dalot and Tottenham’s defender Toby Alderweireld may be next in line.
