Manchester United are preparing a €100m bid to try and bring Gareth Bale to Old Trafford this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Record is reporting that the Red Devils are lining up a huge bid to try and land the Wales international as they look to strengthen their attacking options this summer.
The same story says that the transfer fee is expected to be more than €100m, and the 28-year-old’s wage demands will place him among the highest earners at Old Trafford.
Bale’s future has been a constant source of speculation in recent days after he hinted that he will be considering his future at the Spanish club following their Champions League triumph over Liverpool FC.
According to the same report, Real Madrid are willing to sell Bale this summer for the right price, and that has offered Manchester United significant encouragement about being able to conclude a deal.
The same story says that Manchester United have a long-standing interest in Bale, and they tried to sign him before he moved to Real Madrid from Tottenham back in 2013.
Manchester United will be aiming to try and win the Premier League next season after they finished second in the table this term.
