LaLiga president, Javier Tebas, has spoken this Thursday about his “concern” that Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Real Madrid this summer, whilst at the same time suggesting LaLiga could “get over it” as well.
“It concerns me that Cristiano could leave Real Madrid because he’s one of the stars of the league and I’d like him to be in it,” the LaLiga president insisted after a deal was agreed between the league and Samsung.
“But we can overcome (Cristiano’s exit) because LaLiga is more important than any club or player,” Tebas added.
Tebas also commented on the sudden resignation of Zinedine Zidane alongside the possible departure of Ronaldo as “important losses for Real Madrid” but that “it doesn’t negatively impact LaLiga” which is now second in the income table, only behind the Premier League.n
