Former Reds midfielder believes Jurgen Klopp’s team is not “selling the club,” but would allow their star to be sold if they get the right price.

Liverpool have signed a five years contract with Mohamed Salah, but John Barnes says they would sell him for £ 200m ($ 266m) if Real Madrid offers so.

The Reds seem to be uncertain about the future of the Egyptian by renewing his contract with much better terms.

Salah has always said he is happy at Anfield, with this team he scored 44 goals in his debut season.

Barnes, however, has emphasized that when it comes to money, then the transfer market in Madrid is already changing its way with Cristiano Ronaldo and that the Spanish club will be forced to buy new star.

“The signing of new contract does not mean that now Liverpool will not sell him. Every club sells players. If Real Madrid offers £ 200m for Salah then Liverpool will sell him. ”
