Real Madrid transfer news: Cristiano Ronaldo replacement ALREADY at club

REAL MADRID have already got a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Sky Sports expert Michael Bridge.

And that man is Gareth Bale, who now looks set to stay at the Bernabeu following the departure of Ronaldo.

Ronaldo’s arrival at Juventus was confirmed on Tuesday, ending his nine-year stay at Real Madrid.

The 33-year-old, who has won the Ballon d’Or five times, has signed a five-year deal with Juve paying a £105million transfer fee.

It’s led to speculation over who could replace him but Bridge thinks that may have been decided already.

“He might already be there – Gareth Bale,” Bridge told the Transfer Talk podcast.

“He’s scored one of the best goals you will ever see in any final a couple of months ago against Liverpool.

“He was questioning his future. Does he get the Ronaldo role now?

“If not Neymar or Mbappe, both at PSG, could one of them be the Ronaldo replacement?

“There’s not long to go for such a mega deal to replace Ronaldo. They may just keep Bale.”

Ronaldo’s Real Madrid exit has created a frontline vacancy for the Galacticos, with Harry Kane among the club’s top three choices to replace him.

Bookmakers Paddy Power rate Harry Kane as a 5/1 shot to head to the Bernabeu this summer.

That makes him third most likely to be signed by Real, behind Kylian Mbappe (13/8) and Neymar (2/1).

But with PSG said to prefer to keep the two most expensive players of all-time – instead seeking suitors for Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria – the chances of Madrid moving for Kane are improving.
