Diario AS reported almost a week ago that Uruguay great Edinson Cavani is considering to jo in Real Madrid. He was rumoured to be willing to sign a two or three-year-contract and to eventually retire at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. The same source has also claimed Paris Saint-Germain could let the veteran leave for less than €100m.

However, Thomas Tuchel has stated otherwise in the recent interview after PSG’s intriguing 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid.

Tuchel insists: “My most fervent wish is that he stays. No-one has told me anything, so I think he’ll stay. I talked to him on the phone a few days ago and he didn’t show any interest in leaving the club. He remains a key player for me.”
