Nacho: It’s a shame he plays for our rivals Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid’s Nacho Fernandez admits ‘it’s a shame Saul Niguez plays for Atletico’ after his goal for Spain against England on Saturd ay.

Saul fired in Spain’s equaliser at Wembley Stadium en route to a 2-1 victory over England, and Nacho confessed he was a huge admirer of his club rival.

“It’s a shame he plays for our rivals Atletico Madrid, but he’s been showing for a long time that he’s a great player” the defender said after the game.

“He’s very young, but he’s still a great player. He showed it in London by having a great game and scoring a goal.

“Everything good that happens to him will be good for the national team. I’m very happy for him.”
