Lately, the promotional image of the Champions League is always the same. Some Real Madrid players, with the trophy in their hands, celebrating the title under a shower of confetti.
This year, one of the main characters in that photo has moved.
Cristiano Ronaldo, after swapping Madrid for Turin, is among the serious candidates for the title and with the intention of unbalancing that stable throne that he himself helped to cement.
But he’s not the only one.
Several of the favourites have seen a transfer of players to enrich their teams in the fight for the European Cup.
For example Barcelona, who this year will be able to register Philippe Coutinhoand include a veteran of the competition in Arturo Vidal.
Liverpool, Coutinho‘s former home, lost Emre Can but signed Fabinho and Alisson.
Pastore, of Paris Saint-Germain, went to Roma, and the French club also sold Guedes to Valencia.
Bernat and Gianluigi Buffon arrived in Paris to make up for their loss.
