Brazilian forward Rodrygo, who Real Madrid signed for 45 million euros from Santos, where he will remain until June 2019, has been speaking about his future career in the Spanish capital.
“Ever since I rose to the Santos first team I try to take in what’s happening in my life,” he told the Four Four Two magazine.
“I am very proud to have signed for the greatest team in the world.
“I want to be ready as soon as possible to make a big impact.”
The Santos player went on to speak about his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese’s departure from the Madrid giants.
“It would have been a pleasure to play with him,” Rodrygo continued.
“He made history at Real Madrid and I want to follow in his footsteps.”
The Brazilian also revealed that he has had several conversations with compatriot Vinicius Junior, who is still waiting for his first big opportunity with the club.
Finally, Rodrygo showed his ambition when speaking about his future in the Brazilian national team.
“After Brazil were eliminated from the World Cup, I told my father that the next World Cup could be my turn. I have a long journey ahead of me but I hope to be in Qatar.”
