No one told him it was going to be easy, but surely Julen Lopetegui did not expect such a winding journey as Real Madrid‘s new coach.

It was always going to be tough joining after the reign of Zinedine Zidane and losing Cristiano Ronaldo but Lopetegui is stepping in to build something of his own.

However, only three months after taking over the role, he is in trouble. On the pitch, the team is in a crisis in terms of performance and results while off it, some of Lopetegui‘s decisions are being questioned.
