Antonio Conte has reportedly arrived in London to finalise his release from Chelsea so he can become Real Madrid’s next Coach.

According to Tuttomercatosport, Conte is in the English capital to ‘resolve his bureaucratic issues’ with Chelsea.

The former Juventus and Italy Coach would then have a meeting with Madrid’s board, scheduled for 18:00 GMT on Monday.

The website adds ex-Inter winger Santiago Solari, currently in charge of Los Blancos’ B team, will oversee training on Tuesday if the 49-year-old is not appointed in time.

Nonetheless, Conte is described as being ‘hours away’ from taking the Madrid job, despite Belgium boss Roberto Martinez emerging as a late candidate.

As for Julen Lopetegui, TMW notes he will say goodbye to Madrid’s players on Monday morning before being formally relieved of his duties.

It comes after Madrid were thrashed 5-1 by Barcelona in the Clasico on Sunday, which extended their run without a League win to five games.
