Paul Pogba has been hit with a £350 fine and handed three points for speeding.

The Manchester United midfielder appeared before magistrates in Preston on Monday where he was accused of failing to provide details to police.

However, that charge was dismissed and instead France World Cup winner Pogba, 25, was ordered to pay up for a speeding offence after a Mercedes was snapped travelling at 40mph in a 30mph zone.

Pogba had previously had his licence revoked and is thought to have been on a provisional licence.

He has been spotted being taken to the Lowry Hotel, where United gather before matches, in a chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce.

Pogba, who appeared in court, was also ordered to pay £115 costs and a £35 victim surcharge.

The Mercedes was snapped on London Road on the outskirts of the Lancashire city on September 15, last year.

Pogba scored the rebound after missing a penalty in United’s 2-1 win over Everton on Sunday.
