According to El Chiringuito, Real Madrid are keen to sign a centre-back in January. And their top target is former Barcelona defender and current Real Betis player Marc Bartra.
The Catalan has made some mistakes in recent games but has re-built his reputation at Betis since joining them from Borussia Dortmund.
In addition, Eduardo Inda added on El Chiringuito that the board are also keen on France right-back Pavard, who had a great World Cup for Didier Deschamps’s side.
Bartra, who joined La Masia as an 11-year-old, made his Barça debut in 2010 as a 19-year-old. During his time at the club, he won two European Cups, five La Liga, two Copas del Rey, two Spanish Super Cups and a World Cup.
In 2016 he signed for Borussia Dortmund for eight million euros, where he spent 18 months before joining Betis in January of 2018.
Bartra’s form this season until recently has impressed and earned him a recall to the Spain squad under Luis Enrique — it also seems to have caught Madrid’s eye.
