Mateo Kovacic is the hidden weapon of Zinedine Zidane when Luka Modric or Toni Kroos are not 100 % fit.

Croatian midfielder did not end the match against Espanyol, were they won 2-0.

Kovacic was injured in his left eye after an areal duel with an opposite player.

Mateo played for a few minutes after the injury, but then was replaced by Casemiro.
He was seen driving his car after the match  and that shows thi is not serious injury.
