Barcelona and Real Madrid battle for Japanese starlet Take

Barcelona and Real Madrid are engaged in a transfer battle to land the highly-rated Japanese teenager Takefusa Kubo.

‘Take’ as he is otherwise known, was one of the youngster for whom Barcelona were sanctioned by FIFA for signing underage players.

This coming June, he turns 18 and could leave FC Tokyo for a future in Europe at a big club.

Barcelona are working on his return but they are not the only ones, with Real Madrid and PSG having made their interest known to the player’s agent.

The teenager is on Los Blancos’ radar, but the club maintains that Take has a commitment to Barcelona in the event that he returns to Europe once he has reached the age of 18.

Take is a player with massive potential, with excellent technique and whose specialty is not to score but to provide for his teammates.

Just two months ago, Barcelona felt that the deal for his return was wrapped but the club has found unexpected obstacles in their way.
