Ronaldo ‘issues transfer demands’ to Juve with two Real Madrid stars on his wishlist

Cristiano Ronaldo was signed by Juventus to lead their Champions League obsession and end a 23-year wait for Europe’s premier club crown.

Instead, despite the five-time winner’s mega-money arrival in Turin, Max Allegri’s men again fell short in 2018-19.

Having reached two of the last four finals, and after falling foul of Ronaldo’s brilliance in 2017-18, the Bianconeri were stunned by Ajax in this season’s quarter-finals.

The Dutch side, whose annual revenue is less than the figure Juve spent to sign Ronaldo, won 2-1 in Turin to claim a 3-2 aggregate win.

Now, despite another Scudetto – an eighth in succession – Ronaldo has reportedly called on Turin chiefs to finance a big-money summer spend, in their quest to conquer Europe next term.

According to Corriere dello Sport, there are six names on Ronaldo’s transfer wishlist.

Top of that list is Benfica wonderkid Joao Felix, who has enjoyed a stunning breakthrough season in Portugal; the 19-year-old is already being linked with a host of Europe’s elite.

Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid teammates Isco and Raphael Varane have also been named.

Isco was out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier this season under Santiago Solari, but since the return of Zinedine Zidane is once again a key man for Los Blancos.

Varane’s future, despite a long-term contract, is in question, with the France international mulling over his future as he eyes a potential new challenge – although Madrid have no intention of parting company with the World Cup winner.

Reports in Italy state that Ronaldo sees the signings of his former teammates as ones that would both improve Juve’s squad but also ‘weaken’ a potential European opponent.

Fiorentina’s Italian winger Federico Chiesa has also been mooted, amid suggestions that the Viola will cash in on the 21-year-old, while Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele is another, the 22-year-old having shone for Lyon in the Champions League and also breaking into the France squad.

With Matthijs de Ligt also looking set for Barcelona , Roma’s Greece international Kostas Manolas is also mentioned.

The 27-year-old has a £31million release clause in his deal at the Stadio Olimpico.

Correire dello Sport say all names have also been discussed between Ronaldo and boss Max Allegri.

Ronaldo became the first player in history to win the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A after wrapping up the Italian title in his first season in Turin.
