Multiple sources claim Lorenzo Insigne has agreed a new contract to remain with Napoli until June 2024.

The captain has struggled with poor form in recent months and was even jeered by some of the fans at the Stadio San Paolo, prompting reports he would walk away.

However, agent Mino Raiola held crisis talks this week and seems to have smoothed things over.

According to several different sources, including Sky Sport Italia, Rai Sport and Sportitalia, Insigne has now agreed an extended contract to June 2024.

It’ll be worth in the region of €5m per season plus performance-related bonuses.

As with practically all Napoli contracts, there is no release clause, and President Aurelio De Laurentiis set a €100m price-tag on his star player.
