‘I think it’s not a moment now to talk much’ – Pochettino vague on Spurs future

Mauricio Pochettino would not rule out a Juventus move after Tottenham lost the Champions League Final. “Now is not the time to talk about that.”

Spurs were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool in Madrid this evening, with a Mohamed Salah penalty in the opening two minutes and late Divock Origi goal.

Other than that, the Londoners dominated possession and tested Alisson several times in the second half.

Despite all the talk about Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and even Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, there are still some who consider Pochettino an option for the Juventus job.

The Argentine was asked about his future at Tottenham Hotspur and gave an intriguing response.

“Now is not the time to talk about that. I think it’s not a moment now to talk too much. You can interpret things in different ways. People want to compare me with different managers but we are in a different project in a different place.

“After five years in Tottenham it was so clear the project. Our ambition was amazing and the commitment of our players amazing, providing us with our first ever Champions League Final.

“Now it’s to be calm, change our mind and have time to talk.”
