Modric will continue to wear Real Madrid shirt, although he says he has not yet renewed his contract with Los Blancos.
Luka Modric, 33, will be part of Zinedine Zidane’s team next season.
This was confirmed by the player himself, during the ceremony of “Croatian Best Player” for the season 2018/19.
He won this prize for the seventh time, awarded by his country players and coaches.
“This trophy means a lot to me, thanks to everyone who voted for me. It’s always nice to receive this trophy from players and professionals. I want to thank my friends without them, this price would not be possible, “said Modric.
Speaking of Madrid’s poor season, Modric confirmed he will be in the Bernabeu next year, as he promised to return even stronger.
“The atmosphere in the team is very good and we have enough qualities to improve things. In the new season with Real Madrid our challenge is to get back to our best, the same can be said for the national team. ”
Modric is determined to stay in Madrid, though Real has not yet offered the contract renewal.
