As question marks continue to swirl over his future, Neymar Jr’s most recent interview with ‘Oh My Goal’ is only fanning the flames of a potential return to LaLiga with FC Barcelona.

Despite the fact his stock has fallen ever since he abandoned LaLiga, Neymar remains one of the most popular and influential footballers in the world.

His close friendship with Lionel Messi, away from the pitch, is no secret. Nor is the success the two shared together on it.

“Messi is the best player I’ve ever played with. For me, he’s the best in the world and the best I’ve ever seen play. We made a spectacular duo together. For me, it was a pleasure and honour to play alongside him, and even more to call him my friend.”

Neymar also had some kind words for his current PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe.

“Mbappe is so fast. He’s very young and has a long career ahead of him. I believe he’s going to be an incredible player, one of the best. He’ll be up there fighting for the Ballon d’Or. I hope he achieves everything that he wants to. He’s a very nice person and he deserves everything.”

The Brazilian also called Barça’s ‘new signing’ Victor Valdes the best goalkeeper he’s ever faced.
