Real Madrid aren’t ready to give up in the battle to land Neymar Junior despite Barça moving ahead in the last couple of days.

According to SPORT’s sources, Florentino Perez is ready to include Vinicius Jr in a part-exchange deal for Neymar.

Zinedine Zidane isn’t convinced by the skilful winger and has given the green light to let him go.

Madrid unsuccessfully tried to include Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Isco in negotiations with PSG but all three players refused to entertain the idea. They are hopeful it’ll be a different story with Vinicius as Leonardo is a back fan of his. In the current market, the young Brazilian is valued at around €70m.

If PSG favour the idea of swapping their unwanted forward for a younger version, Madrid will want them to break off negotiations with Barça.

Zidane made it clear throughout preseason that he doesn’t rate Vinicius and this has only damaged the youngster’s confidence.

The other concern with bringing in Neymar is that he’d take up another non-EU spot. Fede Valverde, Eder Militão and Vinicius are the current three with Rodrygo and Kubo handed Castilla roles initially.
