It has been revealed that Neymar shockingly averages more goals per game for Brazil than Cristiano Ronaldo does for Portugal.
The Brazilian winger is maligned for his off field behaviour which often overshadows how talented the Paris Saint-Germain man is.
In 98 games for his country, Neymar has netted 61 goals including a strike against Colombia in the most recent international break.
In comparison, Portugal captain Ronaldo has netted 93 times in 160 games.
This means that Neymar has a total of 0.62 goals per game in comparison to Juventus forward Ronaldo’s 0.58.
Neymar’s dominance also extends to assists for country.
The 27-year-old has 41 assists for the ‘Canarinho’ meaning he is involved in 1.05 goals per game in a Brazil shirt.
In contrast, Ronaldo has 37 assists meaning his overall goal contribution sits at 0.81 for the current European champions.
