Samuel Eto’o enjoyed a glorious career at some of Europe’s top clubs but holds his time with Real Mallorca as his favourite.
The Cameroonian won multiple titles with both Barcelona and Inter, who are set to face each other on Wednesday at the Camp Nou.
“Barcelona were the platform that allowed me to make millions of African children dream that everything is possible in life,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Inter validated that, it was the next point: two consecutive trebles with two different teams.”
“You don’t have to go to Italy. People of colour have problems there.
“I did well not to listen to them,” he said.
However, when asked to choose the best experience between the two European powerhouses, Eto’o gave a surprise response.
“No, the best [time] was at Mallorca.
“But between Inter and Barcelona, it was 50-50,” he stated.
