Vinicius Jr. could be on his way out of Santiago Bernabeu already in the January transfer market. If the report in Italian publication CalcioMercato on Sunday is to be believed, Arsenal are ready to reignite their interest in the Real Madrid winger when the transfer window re-opens.
The North London side were keen on the 19-year-old in the summer but the Brazilian reportedly ‘turned a deaf ear’ to the Gunners’ approaches.
Vinicius has fallen down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane of late. The Madrid boss is said to be ready to offload the winger in January.
Since the start of the current campaign, the Brazil international has made 11 appearances across all competitions, starting on four occasions. He played a full 90-minute game only once this term. Zidane once again dropped the 19-year-old out of the squad for Saturday’s 3-1 win over Sociedad.
Madrid splashed an incredible €45 million on Vinicius signing from Flamengo in the summer of 2018 so Arsenal will have to allocate a hefty sum of money to sign the attacker. The 19-year-old’s natural position is left winger and he possesses impressive ball control and dribbling skills.
Dani Ceballos is also owned by Real Madrid. The Spaniard is believed to be willing to stay at the Emirates beyond this season and is reportedly pushing for a permanent transfer.
