Neto proves that Barcelona have depth in Inter victory

Neto made his competitive debut for Barcelona on Tuesday and made a good impression at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza as they beat Inter 2-1.

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen remains untouchable in the starting XI, but Ernesto Valverde can rest safe in the knowledge that he’s got a reliable backup for the German.

Facing Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez wasn’t easy, but the Brazilian was outstanding, denying the Belgian in particular on a number of occasions.

Neto wasn’t the only player to make the most of his opportunity though. Carles Alena did well, Carles Perez scored and even Ivan Rakitic wore the captain’s armband.

The Croatian again showed a high level of performance, proving that he still has an important role to play.

Samuel Umtiti, though, still can’t catch a break. He hasn’t recovered the level of pace he showed before his injury.
