Kylian Mbappe will probably be at a new club come the 2020-2021 season, but not Liverpool, a reliable French football expert Julien Laurens reports.
“It pains me to say it, but there’s a possibility, even a big possibility,” he said when asked if Mbappe leave PSG in the summer.
“PSG are really pushing hard to sign Mbappe to a new deal. They want to secure him for at least one year.
“But, there’s a chance that he goes in the summer.
“That’s his dream, to play for Real Madrid and play for Zinedine Zidane.
“It will happen at some point, will it happen this summer? I’m hoping it will be one more year.”
Mbappe is yet to sign a new contract with the French giants and appears reluctant to do so. He has been linked with Real Madrid (his childhood club) and Liverpool, among others.
However, we just can’t see the Reds splashing big money on the French forward. Jurgen Klopp ruled the move out exactly because the price tag Mbappe will command.
Kylian joined PSG in 2017 on a loan basis, before sealing the permanent move a year later. He’s scored 79 goals in 107 games for PSG in 2,5 years.
