The Barcelona squad enjoyed a dinner on Thursday night that was organised by newly-appointed head coach Quique Setien.
It took place at a well-known restaurant in the upper part of Barcelona, three days after Setien was officially named as Ernesto Valverde’s replacement.
According to a report published by TV3, Setien prepared this dinner in an attempt to get closer to his new players ahead of his first game in charge against Granada on Sunday night.
Since being presented in front of the media on Tuesday, and with only four training sessions having taken place under Setien’s orders, the coach wanted this dinner to promote a good atmosphere and harmony between the players and the new coaching staff.
From the first few training sessions, it is clear that Setien has been in dialogue with several members of the squad, ranging from the likes of Lionel Messi to Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig.
