Ronaldo back training with Juventus after trip home

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to work with the Juve squad on Wednesday. He missed Tuesday’s session as he flew home to Funchal to visit his poorly mother.

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to work on Wednesday, showing up for training with Juventus at the club’s Continassa sports complex after being granted permissi on to miss yesterday’s session. The player travelled home to Funchal on Tuesday to visit his mother Dolores Aveiro who is suffering from health problems.

After spending the day in Funchal to be informed about the situation of his mother, who has suffered a stroke but whose condition is stable, Cristiano flew back to Turin and trained as normal under Maurizio Sarri’s orders, the club confirmed.
