Barca working on Messi’s renewal until 2023 with a wages of €50m a year

Barcelona are working on Lionel Messi’s renewal until 2023 with a wages of €50M a year as talks ongoing to extend his contract according to GdS reporter Nicolo Schira.

Messi has reassured Blaugrana fans about his future and claimed he loves his life in Barcelona. However, as previously reported by Spanish news outlet El Pais, the forward has a clause in his contract stating that he can leave Barça at the end of this season if he wishes.

His current deal will run out in 2021, so the Catalans have to start working on a new contract to avoid any uncertainty next season.
