Fati’s father: We’re very grateful to hear how players like Messi talk about him

Bori Fati, Ansu Fati’s father, is glad that Barcelona’s supporters have taken to his son so fondly.

The 17-year-old has broken into the Barcelona first team this season and has impressed people around the world with his confidence and ability.

“To hear how players like [Lionel] Messi, [Carles] Puyol, [Samuel] Eto’o or [Gerard] Pique talk about Ansu… we are very grateful,” Bori Fati told Radio Barcelona.

“I know that Barcelona fans love Ansu very much. He loves them too.

“He knows it, although he is a child.”

Ansu is currently having to stay at home due to the coronavirus-related quarantine, and in order to stay fit he is training with his younger brother.

“We are at home, like the [Spanish] government and Barcelona have instructed,” Bori Fati added.

“Ansu is training with his younger brother, running and exercising every day.

“That’s his routine.”
