Iker Casillas has criticized the organizers of the Golden Ball after Lionel Messi won the award for the seventh time in his career.

The Argentine beat players like Robert Lewandowski and Jorginho to take home the biggest individual award.

The PSG superstar finished above the striker of Poland and Bayern Munich, gaining 33 points more than his counterpart.

But the decision to give the 34-year-old another Golden Ball did not please Real Madrid legend Casillas.

The Spaniard criticized the concept of football prices in a post
“It is increasingly difficult for me to believe in football prices,” he wrote on Twitter.

“For me, Messi, he is one of the 5 best players in all of history, but you have to start knowing how to catalog those who are most prominent after a season.”

“It is not that difficult! “Others make it difficult!”, Concludes his article.

Fans and critics alike thought Lewandowski deserved the award, following an outstanding edition for Bayern.
