Arsenal could be set to announce the signing of Gabriel Jesus at some point this weekend after transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claimed the deal was “100% done”.

The Italian journalist, who is known for having the inside track on many big deals in world football, claims that Gunners’ Technical Director Edu is currently working on the “final details” of the move.

Jesus has been linked with the North London side for several months after it became clear his game time at Manchester City would be limited following the arrival of Erling Haaland from Borussi Dortmund this summer.

Here is the most recent news on the situation surrounding Gariel Jesus’ move from Man City to Arsenal:

Jesus to Arsenal “100% agreed” as Edu works on final details

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal Sporting Director Edu is working on the final details of Gabriel Jesus’ move to the Gunners.

The transfer guru says the deal is “100% agreed” with Arsenal paying the Premier League Champions £45 million for the Brazilian striker who will join on a five year deal.

Jesus, 25, moved to Manchester City in August 2016 for a reported fee of £27 million from Brazilian side Palmeiras.

During his six seasons at The Etihad, the striker has made 236 appearances in all competitions and scored a total of 95 goals.

He is a four time Premier League champion, three time EFL Cup winner, FA Cup winner and Champions League runner-up with City.

Jesus won his first senior cap for Brazil in 2016 and has since made 56 appearances for his country and scored 19 goals including in a 5-1 international friendly with South Korea earlier this month.

He won the Copa América in 2019 and SuperClásico Championship in 2018 with Brazil.

Arsenal have been the front runners for his signature for some time although there have been reports that Tottenham Hotspur were prepared to swoop with an offer of their own should the move collapse.
