Real Madrid will have to fork out £60 million to secure the services of Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by The Sun, Liverpool might surprisingly consider letting Mohamed Salah depart from Anfield in the summer transfer window if a suitor pays £60 million. The Egyptian forward is the subject of interest from Real Madrid over a possible move ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Mohamed Salah has transformed into a world-class attacker since joining Liverpool from AS Roma in July 2017. The 30-year-old has been a talismanic figure for the Reds in the last five years, playing an instrumental role in the success they have experienced during this period. Among the honours, Salah has helped deliver the elusive Premier League title and the UEFA Champions League crown.

Salah’s record for Liverpool is brilliant, as he has racked up 156 goals and 63 assists in 254 outings for the Reds thus far. But the Egyptian forward’s contract situation has left Liverpool in a spot of bother, as he will enter the final year of his contract in less than a week. Such a situation has alerted Real Madrid.

Real Madrid initially decided not to invest in a wide-attacker in the summer transfer window after failing to sign Kylian Mbappe. Once the Frenchman decided to remain at Paris Saint-Germain, Carlo Ancelotti reckoned he had enough resources at his disposal in the offensive unit to last another season.

But Real Madrid might have to delve into the market for a new attacker in the summer transfer window as Marco Asensio faces an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Spaniard has coincidentally emerged on the radar of Liverpool, where he could end up replacing Salah amid the Egyptian’s links with Real Madrid.

Recent reports had claimed that Liverpool had been closing in on tying Salah to a new deal. But the two parties are no closer to agreeing to a renewal, prompting Liverpool to consider selling Salah, despite parting ways with Sadio Mane this summer. And the Reds will ask Real Madrid and other suitors to pay £60 million for Salah.
