Arsenal are working in full swing, an offer of 40 million has been sent to Ajax!

Nowhere in this transitional period is it as busy as at Arsenal!

US goalkeeper Matt Turner was promoted today as the third summer reinforcement, but that is only an introduction to the big things that are expected from the “Gunners” in the coming days. The promotion of Gabriel Jesus is a matter of days, if not hours, and we are already working hard on another capital boost.

The “gunners” today increased the offer to Ajax for the Argentine stopper Lisandro Martinez. After the first offer of 25,000,000 euros was categorically rejected in Amsterdam, the new proposal of the London club reads: 40,000,000 euros including bonuses.

It is still less than the 50,000,000 euros that Ajax is asking for the Argentine defender, but it is close and both clubs could find a common language. Arsenal have stepped up because Manchester United, whose coach Eric Ten Hague led Martinez to Amsterdam, are also seriously interested in Martinez. While United are hesitant about the right offer, Arsenal are stepping up the pressure and hoping that Ajax will agree to a discount.

Important players such as Sebastian Ale, Ryan Gravenberg, Nusseir Mazraoui and Andre Onana have already lost in Amsterdam this summer, so they want to end the disintegration of the team. Especially that United, besides Martinez, is also interested in Anthony, Jurien Timber and Edson Alvarez. The Dutch champions are trying to resist the attacks but are aware that they will have to sell another player. And that is why the departure of Martinez would be perhaps the most acceptable sacrifice.

If Ajax agrees to the offer of 40,000,000 euros for Lisandro and with the already agreed arrival of Gabriel Jesus for 52,000,000 euros, Arsenal in this transitional period would approach the limit of 150,000,000 euros. To note, Porto midfielder Fabio Vieira was paid 35,000,000 euros plus bonuses, goalkeeper Turner just over 6,000,000, and winger Marquinhos 3,500,000. And that is not all in Arsenal’s plans.

The Gunners have yet to give up on Leeds winger Rafinha. The first offer of about 35,000,000 euros was rejected, but they are preparing the second one. Leeds is asking for around 60,000,000, but it is not ruled out that the two sides will converge their positions. Summer shopping could be completed with the purchase of Belgian midfielder Yuri Tillemans from Leicester.

As for the departures, Aleksandar Lakazet left as a free player, and on the transfer list are Nicola Pepe, Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneni, Nuno Tavares, Bernd Leno…
