Mohamed Salah has signed a long-term contract with Liverpool. The big news was given by the English club itself on social networks.

The number 11 told Liverpoolfc.com: “I feel really good and I’m excited to win trophies with the club. It’s a beautiful day for everyone.

“It took a while to renovate, but now it’s all over so we just have to focus on the future. I think you can see that in the last five or six years the team has gone up.

“Last season we were very close to winning four trophies, but unfortunately we lost two trophies in the last week of the season. I think we are in a good position to fight for everything.

“We have made new purchases. We just have to work hard, have a good vision, have a positive mentality and fight for everything again”, were the words of Salah.

The 30-year-old is currently ninth in Liverpool’s all-time top scorer list and this new deal is an opportunity for him to improve on that position and help Klopp’s side win more trophies next season.

Salah added: “My message to the fans is that we want to give our best next season to win all the trophies. You always support us and give us a big boost and I’m sure we’ll win again together.”
