The unofficial spokesperson of Cristiano Ronaldo, the British journalist Piers Morgan tried to explain some of the reasons why the Manchester United footballer asked to leave the club.
According to him, the fault lies with the young players of United who, as Morgan says, are brash and rude, and do not have the same goals as the Portuguese.
“Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave because his teammates don’t share the same ambitions and desire to win. This is especially true of brash, lazy young footballers with big egos who take money for something they don’t show. That’s the real story,” Morgan wrote on Twitter.
Ronaldo did not show up for the first two days of Manchester United’s training, but the club still hopes to convince him to stay at Old Trafford.
