Italian media reports that Kalidou Koulibaly will leave Napoli this summer.
This 31-year-old defender has been playing for Napoli for eight years and in previous seasons there were constant rumors that he would make a big transfer, but the Naples club did not want to sell him.
However, the situation appears to have changed as Koulibaly has just one year left on his contract and Napoli are keen to avoid the scenario of him leaving without compensation next summer.
The English media reported that Koulibaly decided to leave Napoli this summer and finally make a step forward in his career because he is aware that there is not much time left for such a move.
Allegedly, Koulibaly is on the verge of moving to Chelsea where he should be a replacement for Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen who left the London club this summer.
Napoli should earn about 40 million euros from the sale of Koulibaly, and this defender is expected to sign a contract with the blues until the summer of 2025.
