Newcastle has sent a first offer to Real Madrid for Marco Asensio, the English media reports.
Asensio entered the last year of his contract, and Real decided not to offer him an extension. That means the Spaniard will either be sold this summer or leave as a free agent next summer.
The first option is much more acceptable for Real, but also for Asensio himself, who does not want to spend another season on the bench, especially in a year when there is a World Cup.
Milan and Liverpool show interest in Asensio, but the most specific is Newcastle, who have already sent an offer to Real and his agent.
The Spaniard initially rejected a move to Newcastle because he wants to play in the Champions League, but with no other concrete offers, he is seriously considering accepting an offer from the rich Premier League club.
