Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has denied reports from Parisienne that the club have ruled out swapping Bernardo Silva for Neymar.
“I’m sorry about Parisien, but that’s not true. I feel sorry for them, but the information they received was wrong. Neymar is a great player and, as far as I know, he is also an incredibly good person. According to you City buy 150 players every summer and that is not true. I feel sorry for Neymar, of course,” commented Guardiola.
“The first impressions of Julián Alvarez, Calvin Phillips, Erling Haaland and Stefan Ortega are quite good, they seem like good people. Having a good atmosphere in the dressing room is more important than tactics. We will gradually integrate them. It won’t happen in a day or two. We should not put these players under too much pressure,” added Guardiola.
