Liverpool should soon start work on Anfield as they want to expand the stadium and finally renovate it.

This stadium is one of the most legendary in the world of football and because of that it is clear why the fans of the “reds” do not want the club to build a new one but to renovate “Anfield”.
Renovation of the iconic stadium is due to start soon and is expected to get 7,000 new seats. The works will cost around £80m and are expected to be completed by the start of next season.

It is clear that the renovation of Anfield will not be very cheap and in Liverpool they are doing everything to secure the money to start the works as soon as possible, and as things stand, changing the name of the stadium is also an option.
Liverpool could do the same as Barcelona did a few months ago, who sold the naming rights to the stadium to a sponsor and made a huge amount of money from it.

Liverpool are reportedly seriously considering doing so and already have several offers from sponsors who want the English club’s stadium to bear their name in the future
Although the fans are vehemently against it and don’t want the club to bow to pressure and change the name of the iconic stadium, it is clear that it has become commonplace in modern football and that it clearly cannot be avoided, given that the club thus collects huge sums of money.
Anfield has been the home of Liverpool since 1892 and it is clear why the fans are not very “heated” to change the name of the legendary stadium.
