Lionel Messi continued his streak of goals in the jersey of the Argentine national team in 2022, in the match against Honduras in which the South American footballer shook the opponent’s net twice.
Argentina celebrated with 3-0, and Messi scored the second and third goals for his team. Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring in the 16th minute, assisted by Messi, after which the PSG player made it 2-0 from the penalty spot and put a point in 69th minute.
In 2022, he already has eight goals for the national team, and on September 28 he plays against Jamaica, after which he expects the appearance of the World Cup in Qatar and at least three more matches. Until now, Messi is on the number of 88 goals in the national team, and he has a chance to break his personal record from 2012 when he scored 12 goals.
