The Chelsea Football Club has announced to the public that Christopher Wivell will be their new technical director.
In a statement they sent to the public, it is stated that Wivell comes to London from the Leipzig team, where he was responsible for bringing in and scouting players of all age ranges.
“Wivel in Leipzig coordinated a general strategy for the formation of a team in a wide football group of Red Bull”, they said from Chelsea.
Wivel previously spent five years in Salzburg, where he was the head of the scouting team, and now he will work in London.
“Chelsea is building an exciting project for the future, I am extremely proud to join this club. There is a great potential for success, development and progress. With Graham Potter and the rest of the coaching staff, there is a clear and sustainable philosophy, I liked the idea and accepted it,” said Wivell himself.
