Cristiano Ronaldo’s dismal first season at Al Nassr continued with a 1-1 draw against struggling Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League, losing his temper post-match when an opposition coach tried to take a selfie with him.

The 37-year-old’s move to Saudi Arabia has not gone according to plan on the pitch, with Al Nassr eliminated from every cup competition available to them and now falling way behind in the Pro League title race.

They were dealt a serious blow on Monday when they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to relegation-battling Al Khaleej. Fabio Martins gave the visitors the lead before Alvaro Gonzalez equalised for the hosts.

Ronaldo then had a would-be winner chalked off for offside in the second half as Al Nassr fell five points behind league leaders Al Ittihad with only four games left to play.

At the end of a disappointing match, Ronaldo was approached by several Al Khaleej players who were out to swap shirts with him, but he notably took offence when one of the club’s coaches tried to take a selfie with him as he exited the pitch.

The forward shoved the coach away and instead tried to make his way to the tunnel with haste.
